Volleyball

Dear Parents and Athletes,

We are excited about the upcoming volleyball season! To ensure a smooth start, all athletes planning to participate must complete their registration paperwork through Register My Athlete (RMA) by AUGUST 8TH.

Please note: If the paperwork is not completed and submitted by the deadline, athletes will not be eligible to participate in tryouts or the upcoming season.

PARENT INFO

GAME DAYS
7th grade games start at 6:00pm, 8th grade starts after 7th grade ends.
Some games may last 30 minutes, some an hour.
We strive for all players to get on the court. There may be some games where some players do not play.

Home Ticket Prices - Students $1, Adults $2. Other schools entry fees will vary.
Home games - 7th graders may be picked up after the 1st 8th grade game.
Away games - We will all ride on a bus to the game site. If you wish, you can pick up your athlete after both games as long as you are there by the time we leave.  We will not wait for rides at the away games.  Others will ride the bus back to Tanglewood. Signatures from parents are required at away games.
 
EQUIPMENT

We provide a jersey.  Players need black shorts(not spandex), knee pads, proper shoes.  
 
PREGAME MEALS

Pack a lunch, drop off a meal at the gym after school, or have a meal delivered to the gym.  Players can not leave campus to get food.

All paperwork must be completed correctly before the athlete can tryout. No exceptions.

Paperwork will be completed entirely online on the Register my athlete website. Players must re-register each year!! Players with health insurance who do not wish to purchase HISD insurance MUST complete the insurance waiver form and have it notarized. (There is a notary located across the street from the school at Parcels Plus for a small fee.) Players without insurance MUST pay $35 dollars for HISD insurance through the SCHOOLPAY website. The physical, waiver or HISD insurance receipt must be scanned and uploaded to the RegisterMyAthlete website.

*Complete all online forms and E sign

*Upload Physical & Medical history

*Upload notarized Insurance waiver form OR

*Upload school pay receipt of $35-dollar HISD insurance in the insurance waiver section on RMA. (Required if you have no health insurance)

PHYSICALS

All students who wish to participate in any of the athletics programs MUST have a current physical. Please download THIS FORM and take it with you when you have your physical completed. 

Next Level Urgent Care is nearby and offers sports physicals for school aged children for $35.  All Next Level locations are open from 9am-9pm, 7 days a week and no appointment is needed to see our providers.

You can also go to Bellaire ER for a FREE physical (open 24 hours and 7 days a week) with a school ID and a parent/guardian. NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED!! They are located at  5302 Bellaire Blvd, Bellaire, TX. and their phone number is (713) 660-0001.
